Transjakarta to Serve Jakarta-Serpong This May

For Jakarta-Serpong route, it's targeted to serve people in early May

After testing out six new routes to Bekasi and Depok, PT Transjakarta also intends to operate Transjakarta bus with Jakarta-Serpong route in the upcoming 2016. It is still waiting for deep review related with mileage and fare amount.

"For Jakarta-Serpong route, it's targeted to serve people in early May," said Director of PT Transjakarta, Budi Kaliwono, Monday (4/25).

Bekasi Residents Appreciate Transjakarta Bus

According to Kaliwono, his party will extend the route from Jakarta-Bogor and Jakarta-Tangerang. It was already approved by Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya.

"Right now, we are still focused on six routes first," he expressed.

He explained, the first day of Transjakarta bus that serves six routes is positively welcomed by residents. This trial will run until two weeks ahead with five fleets in each route.

"On the first day, we launched 30 fleets and will be added up in future," he told.

He mentions, those six routes are West Bekasi-Tanjung Priok, West Bekasi-HI Roundabout, East Bekasi- Grogol, Manggarai-Pasar Minggu-Depok, Lebak Bulus Kota and Lebak Bulus PT JIEP in Pulogadung Industrial Area. It is still managed by PT Perum PPD since 5 AM-8 PM.
